It's official, Sunshine has had her first customization. I added a modular rack on the back so I can carry my small bag of supplies while I'm out on the road. I'm a purist at heart and really don't like to see a bunch of "accessories" on my bike, but there are a couple of items I really wanted to add for the sake of utility.
First, the modular rack system. I needed a place to strap a small accessory bag to carry my ID and things for road trips, but I didn't want big, heavy saddle bags. So, I opted for the modular system because I can remove the rack and replace it with a small bag or just strap my pocketbook to the rack and go.

This is my hubby, Michael, "helping" me to add the new modular system. Actually, he added it, I took photos. Then, he says, "you have to at least put one of the bolts back on." He knows I'm a mechanical person and can do this myself, but it was one of those tasks we wanted to do together.
And finally, here's Sunshine all ready to go for her first ride with the rack installed. Now, what to add next? The removable windshield or the heated handgrips... I'm thinking the heated handgrips considering how cold it has been the last couple of weeks.
